NY Giants Last Play Was Divine

NY Giants Win But Could Have Easily Lost

What makes football such a great game is that the simple bounce of the ball could have turned fortunes around. There were about three NY fumbles in the latest NY Giants vs The New England Patriots 2012 superbowl, but it seems that the Giants recovered their own miscues. They had people in the right place even though they were fumbling. So they were able to make recoveries when they had their own miscues. It shows that they were hustling and because of it, maybe they even deserved to win.

Expectations From the NY Giants

Maybe the biggest oddity of the superbowl was that the New England Patriots were favored in the first place. Everyone knew that the Pats were somwhere in the middle to maybe even lower tier of the league as a team defense. Everyone also knew that the Giants had what was considered the best pass rush in the league. The NY Giants only weakness seemed to be their defensive secondary but with a top-notch pass rush that could easily lift their sub-par secondary.

Was It just Luck for the NY Giants to Win the 2012 Superbowl?

The NY Giants won the game but it showed that Gronkowski was not himself with his high ankle sprain. The last play of the game was the "Hail Mary Pass" that if it were just tipped a little higher or if the Pats had just practiced where you actually tip the ball rather than catch it to you own receiver, then a different outcome could have occurred. Just a little higher of a tip, or a little more agility from Gronkowski, could have made the last play a miracle win for the Patriots. It had to be a great game to come within inches of either team in the position to win on the final play, the final second of the superbowl. You have to tip your hat to the NY Giants as they did win the game, but Patriots hould not lose hope as they played a terrific game and have nothing to be ashamed of. See How much the NY Giants are Worth now.
